there's something really funny about the bost posting a lot specifically under the dragonkin section. they have to be programmed in some very specific way for them to do that

I can mass delete their posts and block their IP's/E-Mails, but that doesn't seem to be enough. I'm about to set it up to where new users need to wait to be registered via E-Mail; something I really don't want to do

Usually we get about three a day, but today we got over 40, and while only one posted, it posted 93 times.

Heads up by the way, as long as you don't reply to their posts, I can mass delete anything they post. Adding to their topics will require extra steps on my end

So it turns out that the bots may be using actual E-Mails of innocent people. How do the bots get the E-Mails I couldn’t tell you. I’m assuming from a data leak list?

Anyways someone messaged me offsite saying their E-Mail was used to make an account. I think this is the final straw, I’m turning on E-Mail verification.

PHPBB is a simple but completely free Forum Base, and as such it doesn’t have a lot of features that a real social media site would have
